When do I have to register at the White Lounge Reception Desk at the latest?
When does the last mountain gondola leave?
Please register for your accommodation at the reception desk in the Ahorn shop (at the Ahornbahn bottom station) before 4.00 pm (16.00h) on the day of your stay. The last gondola to Mount Ahorn leaves at 4.30 pm (16.30h). Afterwards, the Ahornbahn stops operating. Of course, you may take an earlier gondola to Mount Ahorn. In either case, you need to register at the White Lounge Reception Desk.
B as in Breakfast
What’s for breakfast, when and where?
Despite all the unforgettable impressions you have made, you will still be looking forward to a breakfast in a warm hut after a night at an igloo. Breakfast will be served from 7.30 am in the neighbouring hut “Filzenstadl”. Bread rolls and freshly baked bread, sausage and cheese, jam, a breakfast egg, scrumbled or fried eggs, fresh fruit salad if possible and as much coffee, tea and hot chocolate as you want.

When can I take a gondola back to Mayrhofen?
The first gondola leaves at 9.00 am, but you can stay on the Ahorn Plateau as long as you wish, sunbathing on the terraces of the surrounding huts or relaxing in a deckchair in the Panorama bar outside the White Lounge. Or do you want to go skiing immediately?

D as in DINNER
What’s to eat? Is there a kitchen inside the igloo???
The hut keeper of the neighbouring “Filzenstadl” hut is freshly preparing dinner every day which is then brought to the White Lounge in a heating box. Dinner will be served in the Dining Igloo. Traditional delicacies of the Tyrolean cuisine will be served: a hearty soup for starters, the main courses may vary depending on the availability of fresh products. Of course, we also offer meals for vegetarians. Please let us know in advance if you wish a vegetarian menu.
E as in EQUIPMENT
What should I bring?
Winter or skiing clothes (skiing trousers, skiing jacket, gloves, hat), 2-3 pairs of socks, fresh skiing underwear, tooth brush & co. Particularly remember to bring good shoes that are water resistant and have a good profile: two really important features! Mountain shoes, moon boots or snowboard boots are most suitable. We advise you NOT to bring skiing boots! Furthermore, bring 2 big towels to use the sauna.
You have forgotten something? No worries: You can purchase everything you need before going to Mount Ahorn in our Ahorn shop.

What conditions do apply for my stay at an igloo?
The General terms and Conditions of Mayrhofner Bergbahnen apply for all accommodation offers at the White Lounge. You accept these General Terms and Conditions when booking. Look them up here. If you have any questions, please contact us.
What happens if I don’t make the 4.30pm gondola?
If you have missed the gondola at 4.30pm (16.30h), you cannot make use of the accommodation you have booked. If this happens for reasons which are not within the purview of Mayrhofner Bergbahnen (e.g. traffic jam, railway strike, accident, illness…), we cannot make any restitutions. Do you understand now, why we really want you to be in that gondola???
P as in Payment
How can I pay at the White Lounge?
Normally, you have already paid for your accommodation in advance. You can make any outstanding payments at the Ahornbahn ticket counters or at the white Lounge Reception Desk in the shop at the bottom station (you can also pay by cash card). Any drinks exceeding the included free drinks are brought to account separately. You cannot pay by credit card or cash card at the White Lounge. So, please don’t forget to bring cash to pay for the previous night’s bill comfortably after breakfast.
