When do I have to register at the White Lounge reception desk at the latest?
When is the last ascent?
Please register for your accommodation at the reception desk in the Ahorn shop (at the Ahornbahn bottom station) before 4:00 pm on the day of your stay. The last cable car to the summit station of Ahorn Mountain leaves at 4:30 pm. Afterwards, the Ahornbahn stops operating. Of course, you may take an earlier ascent. In either case you need to register at the White Lounge reception desk.
What happens if I don't make the 4:30 pm ascent?
If you have missed the last ascent at 4:30 pm you cannot make use of the accommodation you have booked. If this happens for reasons for which the Mayrhofner Bergbahnen are not responsible (e.g. traffic jam, railway strike, accident, illness…), we cannot make any compensations. So it is really important to make your ascent in time!
B as in Breakfast
What's for breakfast, when and where?
After an exciting night in the igloo, your Igloo Guide will wake you around 8:00 am. A nice breakfast awaits you in your igloo or, in good weather, on the sun terrace.
D as in DESCENT
When can I take a descent back to Mayrhofen?
The first cable car leaves at 9:00 am, but you can stay on the Ahorn Plateau as long as you wish. Relax in the sun on the terraces of the surrounding huts, sit back in a deckchair at the panorama bar of the White Lounge or hit the slopes and enjoy a nice skiing day! E as in EQUIPMENT
What should I bring?
Winter or skiing clothes (ski pants and jacket, gloves, hat), 2-3 pairs of socks, skiing underwear, tooth brush etc.. Make sure to bring some good shoes that are water resistant and have a good profile: two really important features! Mountain shoes, moon boots or snowboard boots will be fine; we do NOT recommend ski boots! Furthermore, bring 2 big towels if you want to use the sauna.
You forgot something? No worries: You can purchase everything you need before the ascent in our Ahorn shop. Please note that at the White Lounge you cannot pay with credit cards. Drinks etc. have to be paid in cash.
What equipment will be provided?
The White Lounge provides you with the following equipment: - Expedition sleeping bag (or a double sleeping bag in case you have booked the ROMANCE package)
- Cozy inner fleece sleeping bag (freshly laundered)
- Head lamp or flashlight

What conditions do apply for my stay at an igloo?
The general terms and conditions of the Mayrhofner Bergbahnen apply for all accommodation offers at the White Lounge. When booking one of the packages you accept these general terms and conditions. You can read them here. Please contact us if you have any questions.
P as in Payment
How can I pay at the White Lounge?
Normally, you have already paid for your accommodation in advance. You can make any outstanding payments at the Ahornbahn ticket counters or at the White Lounge reception desk in the shop at the bottom station (here you can also pay with cash card or credit card). Any drinks exceeding the included free drinks are brought to account separately. You cannot pay by credit card or cash card at the White Lounge. So please don't forget to bring cash to pay for the previous night's bill before breakfast. |
